1202nd Meeting of the Peace and Security Council, to be held on 23 February 2024, on the Consideration of the Report of the Chairperson of the Commission on Fight against Terrorism and Violent Extremism.

Abstract

This meeting will be chaired by H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Arrouchi, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Morocco to the African Union to consider the report of the Chairperson of the Commission on fight against terrorism and violent extremism. H.E. Ambassador Bankole Adeoye, Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security will give his opening remarks thereafter Mr. Lallali Idriss Lakhdar, Acting Director of the Africa Centre for the Research and Study on Terrorism will give a presentation. After questions for clarifications/general comments, the PSC will proceed in closed session to discuss and consideration of key elements for the draft outcome document.
