Assisting African Members of the United Nations (UN) Security Council (A3) in Preparing to Address Peace and Security Issues on the Continent

Abstract

From 20 to 22 December 2015, the Government of Algeria, in collaboration with the Commission of the African Union (AU) and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), convened in Oran, Algeria, the Third High-Level Seminar on Peace and Security in Africa: Assisting Incoming African Members on the United Nations Security Council in Preparing to Address Peace and Security Issues on the Continent. The Third High-Level Seminar was held in continuation of the inaugural High-Level Seminar held from 8 to 10 December 2013 in Algiers, Algeria, as well as, thereafter, the Second High-Level Seminar held from 9 to 11 December 2014 in Oran, Algeria, within the implementation process of the African Peace and Security Architecture (APSA).
