Abstract

The Peace and Security Council of the African Union (AU) at its 156th Meeting held in Addis Ababa on 11th November 2008, was briefed by the Commissioner for Peace and Security of the African Union Commission on the situation in Mauritania, in the light of the developments in that country and the evolution of efforts towards the speedy restoration of constitutional order following the coup d’etat of 6th August 2008.
