Communiqué of the 1129th Meeting of the Peace and Security Council, Held on 20 December 2022, on Considering the Conclusions of the Second Joint Retreat of the PSC of the AU and the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM).

Abstract

The Council adopted the Conclusions of the Second Joint Retreat of the Peace and Security Council of the African Union and the African Peer Review Mechanism. The Council also requested the AU Commission and the APRM to ensure the implementation of the Conclusions. The Council called on the Department of Political Affairs, Peace and Security (D-PAPS), the APRM and relevant partners to convene a conference on local governance, peace, security and development, and welcomes the offer of the Kingdom of Morocco to host this event.
