Communiqué adopted by the Peace and Security Council at its 1079th meeting held on 21 April 2022, on Climate Change, Peace and Security in Africa.
The Council Requests the AU Commission to strengthen policies that effectively address transboundary resources; establish an inter-Departmental Climate Change Coordination Committee; and expedite the finalization of the Report of the Chairperson of the Commission on the Study on the nexus between Climate Change, Peace and Security.
