Assisting African Members of the United Nations (UN) Security Council (A3) in Preparing to Address Peace and Security Issues on the Continent

Abstract

From 8 to 10 December 2013, the Government of Algeria, in collaboration with the African Union Commission and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), convened a High-Level Seminar on Peace and Security in Africa: Assisting Incoming African Members on the UN Security Council in Preparing to Address Peace and Security Issues on the Continent. The Retreat was convened as part of the process of the implementation of the African Peace and Security Architecture (APSA).
