The Republic of Congo concluded its chairship of the Peace and Security Council (PSC) of the African Union (AU) for the month of June 2022. The Provisional Programme of Work for June 2022 was adopted in May 2022 following the implementation of six activities, namely: i. Briefing on the situation in the Sahel Region; ii. Prevention of the ideology of hate, genocide and hate crimes in Africa; iii. Annual Joint Consultative Meeting between AUPSC and EUPSC; iv. PSC Field Mission to the Great Lakes Region (Burundi, DRC and Congo); v. Maritime Piracy in the Gulf of Guinea; and vi. Situation in Libya.
