An assessment of uptake of the Global Core Set of Forest-related Indicators

Abstract

The assessment shows that the Global Core Set is a useful and flexible tool with potential to reduce the reporting burden on countries and improve understanding of sustainable forest management. It points out that more efforts, such as capacity building, dissemination and promotion, are needed for the tool to achieve its full potential
