Report of the Workshop on Maritime Leadership from Eastern Africa

Abstract

This workshop, organised on behalf of the Security Institute for Governance and Leadership in Africa (SIGLA @ Stellenbosch University) by the Centre for Military Studies (CEMIS) located at the South African Military Academy, highlighted the challenges around maritime strategy, leadership responsibilities, development, socio-economic stability and the land-sea interface. The workshop was sponsored by Stellenbosch University via SIGLA, one of the HOPE projects of the university that allowed for three speakers to be invited and speak on leadership.
