Mission report on the design of a national information system for Egypt based on the National Information and Documentation Centre (NIDOC) specializing in scientific information - describes the present documentation/library facilities and library services provided by the Centre, suggests the creation of an Information Storage and Information Retrieval Department responsible for information processing and searching activities, proposes within the framework of the MACRONET principle (UNISIST), the installation of a video display computer terminal to be connected to international on-line information systems such as ESRIN/SOS data bases of the European Space Agency
