Mission report presenting a feasibility study undertaken with the aid of the ITU and the ECA for establishing a regional satellite broadcasting system for educational television in Africa South of the Sahara - Gives an outline of the educational systems and educational expenditures of some of the countries involved, with special attention to the teacher role and the need for educational reform, examines the difficulties of promoting educational development by satellite because of the diversity of vernacular languages, looks into questions of costs and need for technical personnel, communication personnel and communication technology, gives some details concerning adult education programmes
