The aim of this publication is to disseminate technical and policy recommendations that strengthen sustainable food systems in Latin America. The recommendations are the result of analysis and discussion, before and during the workshop, on concepts, approaches and initiatives related to these systems. The initiatives include policy, program or project experiences that create favorable conditions for sustainable agri-food systems in the region in four major themes: climate-friendly sustainable agriculture, inclusive markets and responsible consumption, food losses and wastes, and financial mechanisms For scaling. The contribution of the report is the comprehensive approach it offers to sustainable food systems and concrete recommendations to move towards achieving the goals of the Sustainable Development Goals from a local perspective.
