This document is the final version of the report of the Fifth Session of the Committee for the Development and Management of Fisheries in the Lesser Antilles, held in Roseau, Dominica, from 14 to 16 November 1995. Major topics discussed were: (a) Specific problems in the small island States of the Lesser Antilles, (b) Experiences in the integration of fisheries into coastal area management, (c) Follow-up to the Fourth Session, (d) Progress in the use of Fish Aggretating Devices (FADs) in some Islands, (e) Role of the CARICOM Fisheries Resource Assessment and Management Programme (CFRAMP) in the Sub-region, (f) Caribbean Aquaculture Development Project proposal, and (g) Future activities of Working Parties. A list of the main recommendations on future actions to be endorsed by the Western Central Atlantic Fishery Commission is included at the end of the document.
