Mission report on documentation/library development of the National Information and Documentation Centre (NIDOC) through its connection to an international information network, and its role in a national information system in Egypt - describes the centre's library collection and information services, proposes an implementation of NIDOC's documentation/library administration together with suggestions for the creation of an information storage and information retrieval department responsible for all documentary analysis and literature search activities as well as for the technical documentation/library operations of the centre, examines the possibility of the installation of a computer terminal connected to the ESRIN/SDS data bases of the European Space Agency which operate an on-line information system, also provides recommendations on a new library management system, the need for a microfiche bank, and adoption of the international ASV-CODAR system for data processing activities in Arabic
