In many countries, women are the main custodians of biodiversity and of important natural resources. Yet their contributions are not adequately valued. These guidelines aim to raise gender awareness and provide guidance to specialized FAO staff to identify and address the gender and social dimensions in biodiversity management.

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a surge in the number of migrants returning to their countries of origin. This toolkit supports local stakeholders and actors in agrifood systems by providing resources to design and implement programmes and projects to facilitate the reintegration of returnees in rural areas.
