The 2016 Annual Report was prepared from the contributions of the different Departments of the Commission and other Community Institutions regarding the progress made in the implementation of their work programmes in the period under review. It is divided into four major chapters. Chapter l reviews recent economic developments in the region, against the backdrop of the global economic environment, while Chapter II highlights the status of implementation of the Community work programme. Chapter III covers the theme of the report which for 2016, focuses on the implementation of the ECOWAS Common External Tariff. Chapter IV analyses the activities of other ECOWAS Institutions and the last section presents the conclusions and recommendations….
