The aim of this synthesis report is to assess the performance of the New Alliance for Food Security and Nutrition (NAFSN), four years after its launch. Specifically, the report analyzes the progress that has been made in achieving commitments made by major stakeholders (government, private companies, and development partners). NAFSN has been an attempt to devise a new approach to development cooperation in the NEPAD era in which African countries asserted more leadership and ownership of the continent's development agenda and the global community responded to their call for greater alignment.
