In Egypt, women are mostly assigned housekeeping responsibilities, unpaid jobs and care work. The findings from this report suggest that women’s participation in agriculture, irrigation and domestic water can be enhanced through considering gender equality and women’s empowerment on the strategic and country levels.
This action plan outlines the rationale, main pillars and key principles of the One Country One Priority Product (OCOP) initiative. The expected impact of the OCOP includes the improvement and increased sustainability of agrifood systems, , and increased market opportunities for smallholder and family farms.
These guidelines aim to help policymakers define objectives and priorities, as well as make informed decisions about how to enhance the resilience of agricultural supply chains in the face of a variety of evolving hazards which include natural shocks and human-induced shocks.
